Afterskiing in Austria is legendary - and Bad Gastein is no exception.

While afterskiing at Schillerhof is laid-back and modified you will find places with a lot of things going on.

We have had the best experiences at Silver Bullet Bar. In season there is live music every day from 5 pm till 11 pm. It is a place in North American style with 14 meters to the ceiling , functioning as an afterskiing place as well as a disco later in the evening. Visit their homepage: www.silverbulletbar.com.

Another cool bar is Häggbloms. Häggbloms is swedish which is a party guarantee.

If you want something more moderate you can try our favourite Mine. The owner is a pleasant chap from Sweden. He has succeeded in creating a little bar with a cosy atmosphere, where season people and the locals are hanging out.

The most intimate place is called The witch (near Hotel Mozart and tourist information). The small wood does not look much, but try enter. It is a really nice place

In the opposite extreme there are tea saloons at several of the big old hotels. With plush furniture, teak and a long history of relaxation.
